Abstract | Methods are described of determining the dynamic occlusion surface based on dynamic sequences of mandibular motion, acquired with a dynamic scanner, and measurements acquired with the Zebris axiograph. The Zebris data is brought into register with multimodal imagery, using three corresponding transformations. This registration allows dense motion sequences to be simulated, which in turn allows occlusal conditions to be known at various stages of movement and the dynamic occlusal surface to be identified for the purposes of occlusal splint design. |
