The Foundation for Polish Science announced the results of the first TEAM-NET competition. Co-financing for the total amount of nearly PLN 18 million was received by the consortium CFT, IITiS, UJ.
In the TEAM-NET competition, scientific units could obtain grants to create a network of cooperating research teams conducting interdisciplinary research. The project "Near-term quantum computers: challenges, optimal implementations and applications" was very well implemented by the Foundation for Polish Science as part of and obtained funding under Measure 4.4 OP IR 2014-2020. The project will be carried out by four research teams located at the Center for Theoretical Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Theoretical and Applied Informatics PAS and the Jagiellonian University in Cracow.
In ITAI PAS, the project will be implemented in the Quantum Machine Learning group led by Zbigniew Puchała.
