Award of the Rector of the Silesian University of Technology for our doctoral student

We are pleased to announce that one of our doctoral students from the Quantum Information Systems Team, Akash Kundu, working on his PhD as part of the Joint Doctoral School, has been awarded a scholarship by the JM Rector of the Silesian University of Technology for publishing in one of the best journals in the field of interdisciplinary aspects of physics and astronomy.

This award is granted under the Excellence Initiative-Research University program for publishing a paper in a journal that is ranked, according to Scopus rankings. Mr Kundu's work has been published in the journal Quantum Science and Technology, which deals with theoretical foundations and applications of quantum technologies. The journal is among the TOP5 in interdisciplinary research in physics and astronomy.
